Small-breed puppy rehoming for Tallahassee families

Tallahassee is the biggest city Precious Pups works with and sits in Leon County, well to the east of our weekend stall at the PCB Market in Panama City Beach. For families here a visit is a planned day rather than a quick errand. We place nine small breeds through a guided rehoming process: a conversation about your household, then an in-person meeting, then a decision when both fit and timing are right. Availability changes from week to week, so for Tallahassee families the free rehoming waitlist is usually the more practical starting point.

Puppy rehoming for Tallahassee families

Tallahassee families often arrive at us having already done some reading, and the question is usually less about which breeds exist than which would actually work in their house. That's the right question, and it's the one we prefer to spend the first conversation on - the hours the house is empty, the ages of any children, resident pets, and the grooming you can genuinely commit to.

We try to make a visit count. If we know the breed you have in mind and roughly when you're hoping to bring a puppy home, we can tell you when it's worth coming instead of inviting you to take a chance on a weekend. That is the practical value of the waitlist: it turns an open-ended search into a call at the right moment.

How the process works

From first question to welcoming a puppy home

The same five steps for every family in Tallahassee, and everywhere else in Leon County.

01

Ask about availability

Tell us the breed you have in mind, or just describe what you are looking for. There is no cost to a conversation.

02

Tell us about your household

Children, other pets, the hours the house is empty, and the grooming you can realistically keep up with.

03

Review options or join the waitlist

If a suitable puppy is ready we say so. If not, the free rehoming waitlist holds your place at no cost.

04

Plan an in-person meeting

Every family meets their puppy at the PCB Market stall before anything is decided.

05

Welcome your puppy home

A placement fee applies once a specific puppy is confirmed for your family, and we stay reachable after.

The full process is set out step by step, and the placement policy covers fees and paperwork.

Breeds to explore

Small breeds to explore

Each page covers adult size, grooming and the households the breed tends to suit. Availability varies by breed and timing. Contact Precious Pups for current availability.

Current availability

Availability varies by breed and timing. Each breed carries a status rather than a promise for any given weekend, so the page is the quickest way to see where things stand before you get in touch.

Free waitlist

Joining costs nothing and commits you to nothing. A placement fee applies only once a specific puppy is confirmed and being held for your family, and available records travel home with the puppy.

Planning a visit

Meeting a puppy in person

All meetings are at the PCB Market, 7157 US-98, Panama City Beach, on Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm. We've no location in Tallahassee or anywhere in Leon County. Contact us before setting out and we can discuss current options and whether a particular weekend makes sense.

The stall runs Saturday and Sunday only, so if you work weekends tell us early and we can usually find something that works. Walk-ins are welcome during market hours, and an appointment is worth arranging if you want an unhurried conversation about a particular breed.

Family spending time with a small-breed puppy

No. The weekend stall at the PCB Market in Panama City Beach is our only location, open Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm. The pages for other communities exist because we work with families there, not because there is a second place to visit. Anyone claiming otherwise isn't us.

For most Tallahassee families, yes - at least to begin with. It's free, records what you're looking for, and means we can call you when a matching puppy is placement-ready.

Yes, and plenty of families here do. Seeing the breeds in person and asking about grooming and size is useful even if a decision is months away, and there's no expectation attached.

You tell us the breed you are drawn to and what your household looks like, and we contact you when a matching puppy is placement-ready. It is free, it commits you to nothing, and it is the sensible starting point when a specific breed matters to you.

Wakulla County is immediately south of Leon and Gadsden County just west, and both have their own pages. The meeting point is the same for all of them.

A secure crate or carrier, a towel, and an unhurried pace. A first car ride is significant for a young puppy, so we would rather plan it with you than leave you to work it out.
