Small-breed puppy rehoming in Leon County
Precious Pups places small-breed puppies with families in Leon County, including Tallahassee. Leon sits east of our weekend stall, and for most families here a visit is something to plan rather than drop in on. Every placement happens in person at the PCB Market in Panama City Beach, and we ask Leon County families to contact us first so we can talk through timing and what is realistically available. Availability changes from week to week, and the free rehoming waitlist is often the more practical starting point.

Puppy rehoming for Leon County families
Tallahassee families tend to arrive at us having already done some reading, and the question is usually less 'what breeds are there' than 'which of these would actually work in my house'. That's the right question. We'd rather spend the first conversation on the household: the hours the house is empty, the ages of any children, resident pets, the grooming you can commit to - than on a list of what happens to be available.
We try to make a visit count. If we know what you're looking for and roughly when, we can tell you when it's worth coming rather than inviting you to take a chance on a weekend. That is the practical value of the waitlist: it turns an open-ended search into a phone call at the right moment.
Nothing about the process is rushed at either end. Puppies stay with their breeders until they're placement-ready, no puppy is placed before Florida's eight-week statutory minimum, and no family is asked to decide on a first visit. If the timing is wrong for your household this month, that's a perfectly good answer and the waitlist costs nothing to sit on.
Tallahassee families sometimes ask whether it's worth coming to the market simply to look, before they're ready to bring a puppy home. It's - and quite a few do. Seeing the breeds in person, asking about grooming and size, and getting a feel for how a small dog behaves around your children is genuinely useful even if you're months away from a decision. Nobody is asked to commit to anything for turning up, and it often makes the eventual choice a much easier one.

Questions from Leon County families
More general answers are on the FAQ page, and Available Puppies shows current status by breed.

Yes. Leon is at the eastern end of the area we work in regularly, and we ask families here to get in touch before visiting.
No. The weekend stall at the PCB Market in Panama City Beach is our only location, open Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm. The pages for other communities exist because we work with families there, not because there is a second place to visit. Anyone suggesting otherwise isn't us.
For most Leon County families, yes - at least to begin with. The waitlist is free, records what you're looking for, and means we can call you when a specific puppy matching your household is ready.
It varies by breed and timing, and we'd sooner not quote a number that turns out to be wrong. Some breeds move quickly; others take longer. We'll give you an honest read on your particular request when you ask.
Usually yes, if there's a puppy present that suits you - that's the point of the stall. What we can't promise is that a specific breed will be there on a specific weekend, which is why the call beforehand matters.
Available veterinary records and documentation shared by the puppy's care provider, passed on as they are. We tell you what is and isn't included before you commit, and we encourage every family to see their own veterinarian soon after.
Wakulla is immediately south of Leon and Gadsden is just west, and both have their own pages. The meeting point is the same for all of them.
Yes, and plenty of Tallahassee families do. Seeing the breeds in person and asking about grooming and size is useful even if a decision is months away. There's no expectation that you commit to anything by turning up.
